About Coach Gina
Gina M. Mauricio, MS, CPT-CES is a native of San Diego, California! Optimal climate allowed her to play soccer year round as a youth, which in hindsight is where her running engine first started developing. In 1998, she graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. Since then, she has been practicing not just oral hygiene services, but overall healthcare. Running her first marathon in 2006 and sustaining a preventable stress fracture in the process, she sought out a personal training certification to better understand the body. Only touching the tip of the iceberg of information, she later pursued a Masters of Science Degree in Kinesiology through A.T. Still University with an emphasis on exercise and sports psychology, graduating with 4.0 grade point average in 2015. Armed with information as a healthcare provider, extensive evidence-based knowledge from graduate studies, hours of continuing education and practical experiences with recreational runners of all ages and experiences, Coach Gina is ready to help you run with less injury potential and greater performance outcomes! |
